PART THREE: Fashion Design

Consider fashions of the past? Why are elements recycled? 

Most designers have a "signature look." Look for styles, colours and patterns that inspire you and create a mood board as a page in your sketchbook.

Design an Outfit

Create 2 unique fashion design - one for formal wear (for a simcha) and one for an every day outfit that YOU would wear.

Draw your own body design or use a croquis (template).

You may design for a male and/or female, and they can be for an adult and/or child.

Design must include: front view, back view

Use colour, pattern

Fashion Templates

Croquis are templates used by the fashion industry when designing. You may, of course, draw your own figures or use these.

The advantage to using your own drawings is that your designs won't look generic and will be unique.

1. Printmaking of fabric patterns (can use foam plates for ease)

2. Sew the outfit to fit a doll (or glue, drape)
