Variation One

Choose a passage from a poem or novel that inspires you.

Find a photo of the author.

Using a digital editing program, copy the image onto a layer.

Copy the text onto a second layer and adjust the transparency of the layer.

Variation Two

1. Self-portraits out of text.
2. Start with a picture: take in good lighting with lots of contrast.
3. Crop the photo so it's mostly face.
4. Convert to Black & White or use Image Saturation.
5. Open Layers Pallette, if not open.
6. Copy the Background Layer.
7. Select All
8. Edit > Copy.
9. Create a Layer Mask - option-click on white space. It will show the layer mask. Edit > Paste.
10. Deselect.
11. Click on the layer itself on background copy.
12. Edit > fill - change contents to white.
13. Create another layer  - select background and copy.
14. Edit > Fill - change contents to white.
15. Go to Google Chrome: Blind Text Generator.com  (KAFKA is cool)
16. Change to 5000 words, 1 paragraph, Arial
17. Select and copy text
18. Select Text tool
