I. Look at the ads that Mrs. T gives you. These are not ads for arts-related careers. What qualifications do they ask for?

Brainstorm in pairs and make a list. Share with the pair next to you and come up with a complete list. Then share with the class.

This project will familiarize you with your options as you move towards graduation.

Go to artroom.pbworks.com > Grade 12 > Choosing your Art Path. Find a career that appeals to you.
Research the career you have chosen by clicking on the Careers page (link is on page with career choices).
Use MyBlueprint or links on the Careers page or Google for more information.
Fill in the worksheet with information (as shown below).
Include the website link for 2 sources of information.
Create a Google Slides presentation. They will be embedded on this wiki and presented in class.
Create an original work of art that exemplifies the art career that you researched.

Art Career	What art career did you choose?
Why?	What do you find interesting about this career? Explain why you think this occupation would be right for you. How does it fit with your personality, interests, values, educational plans, etc.
Description	Describe the art that is created by this profession.
Tasks	Describe at least 5 regular tasks that you will be doing in this career.
Skills	What skills do you need? What kind of experience?
Example	Name a famous person has has/had pursued this as their career. Include a link to the art or artist’s website.
Education	What kind of education do you need? Research 2 schools in Ontario that offer that education. What are the entrance requirements? How long is the course?
Employment	How much could you generally earn? Is there opportunity for advancement? What is the outlook or employment opportunities in the future?
Environment	Describe the work environment. Would you travel? Do you work alone or with others? Is it inside or outside?
Surprise!	After researching, what surprised you most about this career?

Research future opportunities for employment in this field and the financial potential.
