(No instruction necessary—set up supplies and example along with student instruction sheet. Students work on this when finished with main project)
-
Fold 12x18 paper vertically to make a long folded paper 6”x18”. Put fold on side that your locker opens.
-
Draw front of locker. You may go out in the hallway to draw outside the art room door. Remember to draw the vents, locker number and combination lock. Don’t forget the hinges. Draw top and bottom section.
-
Open fold and draw top and bottom section. Draw items in your locker that will tell a story about who you are. Select objects of importance to you.
-
Outline locker with fine point black marker.
-
Color with watercolor markers or colored pencils
-
DRAWING 2: You’re having a bad day and suddenly, when you open your locker, you experience a fantasy or “surreal” scene. Following the same steps as above, draw a fantasy scene of what might be in your locker. Be creative/funny/weird/exciting!
